Van Morrison is probably, at this point in time, my biggest influence as a vocalist. When we were making our last album I had a vinyl copy of 'Veedon Fleece' in the vocal booth in front of me, in the dorky sense. I think there were candles around, which is really tacky, but hey, I needed to channel Van the Man! ↗

It's really a sad story, and I liked that. The songs on this album talk about relationships in every aspect. ↗

I have the time needed to support the album and tour. ↗

At some point in my life, before I was gone, I wanted to make an album, even if it was for no reason other than posterity. ↗

I think the real problem is that nobody buys albums anymore, so you don't get the depth of the artists that are out today. What you get is whatever they felt is politically correct to get on there and actually make some impact. I think that's where you're losing your depth. You're only getting the very top of everything. It really bothers me. ↗

Those albums are so important to me because, for the first time, I was making my own music, paying for it, finding strengths in it, and going through the process of finding the right music for the record. ↗

I've made three studio albums and one live one with my brother. It's melodic singer-songwriter acoustic-rock music. ↗

Well it has been very exciting and very changing as well. Celebrating the 40th year and having the album out and the Channel 4 documentary and I resigned from Blind Date. ↗

I went along and basically learned a few of the songs they were doing at the time, which were quite a few of the songs we ended up doing on our first album. ↗

Then we did what we called basically I suppose a club tour in England, which was the time I think that our second album came out, we club toured around the whole country where the venues were hold to five hundreds upwards to that sort of thing you know. ↗
