If a budget is designed to show our values, it's clear where the majority stands: against opportunity, against education, and against America's hard-working, tax-paying middle class. ↗
So what it boils down to, in my humble opinion, is that we need to support the arts in schools, and at every other level in the education of children. ↗
Financial literacy is an issue that should command our attention because many Americans are not adequately organizing finances for their education, healthcare and retirement. ↗
Increased awareness and education could be a great help toward improving spending and saving habits and increasing participation and contribution levels to retirement plans. ↗
The College Access and Opportunity Act addresses the important need to make higher education more affordable and easier to access for low and middle-income students. ↗
The promise of education reform can never be fulfilled without adequate funding, and by shortchanging our schools, President Bush is breaking his promise to our children. ↗
By cutting critical domestic programs such as education, health, environmental protection, and veterans' services, this budget reveals misplaced priorities. ↗
