Whatever’s missing is what you’re not giving. You are a divine power plant. And a power plant doesn’t receive energy, it generates it. It’s the same as saying you already have the kingdom of heaven within you. And when you activate the best in you, it generates an energy that must appear in your experience. ↗
Remember, it is done unto you as you believe. It’s not “I’ll believe it when I see it,” it’s “You’ll see it when you believe it.” You can’t make a demand on life that exceeds your belief about it — because you don’t experience life as it is, you experience life as you are. You literally experience the personification of your own perceptions. ↗

If you offer some good plans to a person and you face the rejection, don't ever mind bad. When you planned something for a person, a person may, too was planning something for himself. Parishioners will welcome the assurance, if news of changes and experiments has come their way, that no such changes are contemplated in this parish church; they will not be used as guinea pigs for liturgical experiments. If any declare that we stick in the mud, we retort that by loyalty to the Prayer Book we stand on a rock. ↗

Yet, as has been said of him before, no theory of life seemed to him to be of any importance compared with life itself. He felt keenly conscious of how barren all intellectual speculation is when separated from action and experiment. He knew that the senses, no less than the soul, have their spiritual mysteries to reveal. ↗
The issue, perhaps, boils down to one of how perceptions or misperceptions of racial difference impact various individuals’, or groups of individuals’, experience of freedom in America. Some would argue that it goes beyond hampering their “pursuit of happiness” to outright obliterating it. ↗

You know, Bob, school is school, one of those life experiences we kids all have to get through in order to become you. Then we wonder what all the fuss was about, especially while we're cleaning up your little messes: toxic waste, war, bank bailouts. Honestly, if we ran up debt the way you guys do? You'd ground us, take away our cells, and make us clean toilets with a toothbrush until we'd pay back every penny. ↗
