The Rochester group [of VOTF], however, was met with some concern as they found it hard to believe my account as it unfolded before them. I feel that some people have a hard time with the truths around us, not only the sexual abuse by priests, but all bad things. I call it chosen ignorance. This modified form of ignorance is found in people who, if confronted with certain truths realize that they have to accept them and thereby acknowledge evil, and that scares them. Opening up and letting the truth in might knock them off their perceived center. It is too hard, period." In existence you are body and mind, but in absolute you dissolve. In existence there is sorrow; in absolute there is bliss. In existence there is change; in absolute there is reality. In existence you are known; in absolute you are energy In existence you are thought, in absolute total awareness. In existence you are matter, in absolute you are pure Spirit." www.booksonspirituality.com ↗

He had discovered that there was not just one God but many, and some were more than cruel — they were insane, and that changed all. Cruelty, after all, was understandable. With insanity, however, there was no arguing. ↗

For a long time, we assume we know who we are, until the moment we fully realize who that is; in that moment, identity is no longer predictable, but rather takes the form of a truth that, like any other, can become a sentence with no more than a change of perspective. ↗

... Will you be okay or is there something I could help you with?" "I'm just going to change in to comfy clothes and hit the sheets." "And what's the verdict on whether or not you want my help with that?" He flashed a cocky smile at me. He was undeniably sexy, in an "I-have-poison-blood-in-my-veins" sort of way. ↗
