When I was eight years old, I got a dummy for Christmas and started teaching myself. I got books and records and sat in front of the bathroom mirror, practising. I did my first show in the third grade and just kept going; there was no reason to quit. ↗
I write everything down. I e-mail the second I think of something, or I write notes in my BlackBerry calendar. I set up reminder alerts on my phone. And I have a notebook by my bedside so I can write down any last-minute ideas. ↗
It was actually a very nice little book done by a gift book company. They illustrated it with pictures from 1920s football, before there were face guards. ↗
I've really written my books for my husband and our family. They've brought us closer together by allowing us to discuss things that were unspoken for so long. ↗
Australian SF book publishing has undergone a boom recently, and sometimes it's easier for new writers to sell a book to a local publisher first, which then makes a US edition more likely. ↗
