When you have too many people and you're trying to satisfy everybody's input, you usually end up with something so incredibly generic that it has no point of view. ↗
I'll come in with a string of riffs and direct the musical ideas. But you still need a band and their input to make the ideas come alive. You can't underestimate band chemistry. ↗
As an actor you have to bring to the table your creative input. But when a director like Ridley Scott says I want you to do this this way, you know when he gets to the editing room he has a reason for it. It's like watching a masterpiece. ↗
