Every time I watch a movie with great special effects I think, ‘Wow. This is so much more lifelike than anything I’ve ever seen.’ The world needs to get with reality and use more computer generated images for our sunrises and landscapes. Or at least Claymation for snow days. Making inanimate snowmen isn’t helping our children make the right kinds of friends: they need to learn the hard way that all their attachments will melt away, that everyone must face life alone. ↗

Liz looks at the tissue box, which is decorated with drawings of snowmen engaged in various holiday activities. One of the snowmen is happily placing a smiling rack of gingerbread men in an oven. Baking gingerbread men, or any cooking for that matter, is probably close to suicide for a snowman, Liz thinks. Why would a snowman voluntarily engage in an activity that would in all likelihood melt him? Can snowmen even eat? Liz glares at the box. ↗
