Ivan Reitman

Reitman's parents were Jewish; his mother survived the Auschwitz concentration camp and his father was an underground resistance fighter. In early 2010 Reitman confirmed he will be directing the film. New York magazine citing no sources claimed in March 2007 that Sony Pictures Entertainment wanted to replace Reitman on Ghostbusters III with a younger director but that Reitman's original contract precluded this.

Ivan Reitman OC (born October 27 1946) is a Canadian film producer and director best known for his comedy work especially in the 1980s and 1990s. He is the owner of The Montecito Picture Company founded in 2000.
