On the issue of the Iraq war on October 11 2002 Cantwell voted in favor of the Joint Resolution to Authorize the Use of United States Armed Forces Against Iraq. N. On September 29 2009 when the Finance Committee considered health care reform legislation Cantwell supported amendments to establish a public health care option that would compete with private insurers.

Cantwell (born October 13 1958) is the junior United States Senator from the state of Washington serving since 2001. She is currently chairwoman of the Committee on Indian Affairs. Maria E.
