I think our vision heretofore has been and should continue to be to have Cardozo be the kind of law school that we can be proud of. I would like to see it gain recognition as one of the three best law schools in New York City.

Lamm's grandfather was Rabbi Yeshoshua Baumol (1880–1948) who authored the Responsa - Emek Halakha. It is this kind of position which honest men particularly honest believers in God and Torah must adopt at all times and especially in our times.
