I went to school in drag, in art school and my day was completely different because everybody thought I was a chick. You should see me as a chick. So I went as a girl, as like an experiment and it worked really well and everyone was really nice to me but I couldn't talk obviously...you know train conductors were really cool to me on my commute...HA! I looked hot as a chick!

Also while in elementary school the glam metal band Bon Jovi was instrumental in forming his love of music. In 2007 Way began writing the comic-book miniseries The Umbrella Academy. Since then an eight-page story has been publiGerard Wayd on MySpace entitled "Safe & Sound".

He is the executive producer of the band LostAlone's second album I'm a UFO in This City and the writer of the Eisner Award-winning comic book The Umbrella Academy.
