I look at the story, I look at the idea and just try to think of it in terms of that whole body of myth and see where the characters fit in and what they ought to be doing-all those archetypes are there to play with.

Early life
Boorman was born in Shepperton Surrey England the son of Ivy (née Chapman) and George Boorman. He was recently divorced. Zardoz (1973) starring Sean Connery was a post-apocalyptic science fiction piece set in the 24th century.
