Sometimes we read or hear too much news that makes us fearful or suspicious of others. We can forget that most of the people that we know, or at least encounter regularly, are decent and friendly.

Her first diplomatic posting came in the early 1980s when Adrienne Clarkson promoted Ontario culture in France and other European countries. After receiving a number of university degrees Clarkson worked as a producer and broadcaster for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) and a journalist for various magazines.
