I think the hardest to replace has been Johnny Collins. He was great to play with. You could always rely on him to be available for a short pass, allowing you time to clear a ball. He would never give the ball away.

In all he played 428 league games with Rangers scoring 37 goals. as an apprentice professional in July 1978. In October 1997 he returned to Rangers due to injury issues at Ibrox.

He also played for Scotland 61 times and had a brief spell as manager of Livingston. Charles Richard Gough (born in Stockholm Sweden 5 April 1962) is a former Scottish football defender who enjoyed great success as captain of Rangers.
