Hank Williams

On December 11 1946 in his first recording session he recorded "Wealth Won't Save Your Soul" "Calling You" "Never Again" and "When God Comes and Gathers His Jewels. In July 1937 the Williams and McNeil families opened a boarding house on South Perry Street in downtown Montgomery.

In 1948 he released "Move it on Over" which became a hit and also joined the Louisiana Hayride radio program. "
During his last years Williams's consumption of alcohol morphine and other painkillers severely deteriorated his professional and personal life. After an initial rejection Williams joined the Grand Ole Opry.
