Fogerty says that he was unable to write music during this period of his life primarily due to stresses from ongoing financial and legal difficulties with Fantasy Records. On August 31 2009 Fogerty released a sequel to his 1973 solo debut The Blue Ridge Rangers called The Blue Ridge Rangers Rides Again. The group disbanded shortly afterwards.
