Seles returned to the tour in August 1995 and won her first comeback tournament the Canadian Open beating Amanda Coetzer in the final 6–0 6–1. Then a couple of weeks later and still injured Monica Seles lost in straight sets to the same player in the first round of the 2003 French Open.

In 1990 at the age of 16 Seles became the youngest-ever French Open champion. 1 in 1991 and 1992. 1 professional tennis player and a member of the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
