Aikido is not merely about fighting and the development of the physical self but the perfection of the spiritual man at the same time. It has very harmonious movements, very beautiful to watch and beautiful for your body to feel.

He became the first foreigner to operate an Aikido dojo in Japan. When news of this emerged Seagal's marriage to La Russa was annulled and he then married LeBrock on 5 September 1987. A&E resumed the show for the second season which began on October 6 2010.

He later moved to the Los Angeles California area where he made his film debut in 1988 in Above the Law. Between 1998 to 2009 he appeared in a total of 22 of these. He became the first foreigner to operate an Aikido dojo in Japan.
