Most of us, I believe, admire strength. It's something we tend to respect in others, desire for ourselves, and wish for our children. Sometimes, though, I wonder if we confuse strength with other words—like 'aggression' and even 'violence'. Fred McFeely Rogers (March 20 1928 – February 27 2003) was an American educator Presbyterian minister songwriter author and television host. Several buildings and artworks in Pennsylvania are dedicated to his memory and the Smithsonian Institution displays one of his trademark sweaters as a "Treasure of American History". Rogers received the Presidential Medal of Freedom some forty honorary degrees and a Peabody Award.
