My life is unrecognisable compared to what it was - 'Game of Thrones' has opened doors that were never there before. But it can be dangerous to see it in those terms, I think. It's best to take it as it comes and work as hard as you can, and hopefully the other things fall into place.

As of March 2013[update] Clarke is playing the lead role of Holly Golightly in a Broadway production of Truman Capote's Breakfast at Tiffany's. She was cast as a replacement to fellow British actress Tamzin Merchant who dropped out of the pilot for undisclosed reasons. Clarke won the 2011 EWwy Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama for her role as Daenerys.
