Green performed in theatre before making her film debut in 2003 in Bernardo Bertolucci's controversial film The Dreamers. In 2013 Eva Green is going to play Ava Lord in Frank Miller's and Robert Rodriguez's Sin City sequel Sin City: A Dame to Kill For and also Artemisia in 300 side-quel 300: Rise of an Empire.
