Did you know about Sammy Davis, Jr.?

Gwar has an entire song dedicated to him on the album "Carnival of Chaos" called "Sammy". In September 2009 the musical Sammy: Once in a Lifetime premiered at the Old Globe Theater in San Diego with book music and lyrics by Leslie Bricusse and additional songs by Bricusse and Anthony Newley. Davis started as a child vaudevillian who became known for his performances on Broadway and Las Vegas Nevada.

"Handicap?" he asked. Primarily a dancer and singer he was also known for his impersonations of actors and other celebrities. "Talk about handicap — I'm a one-eyed Negro Jew.
