I think life is full of challenges and problems. I don't believe that anyone is perfect. We all make mistakes. It's not a bed of roses, and you have to work real hard at it.

He later joked[citation needed] that he had booked an early flight home for halfway through the race as he predicted the car's new electronic gearbox would last only a few laps. The drivers found they got along well and from early in the pre-season formed a good working and personal relationship.
