In the tennis world, there weren't a whole lot of Asians playing. You see it a little bit more now. The same can really be said for basketball.

Charity work
Chang served as Chairman of ATP Tour Charities in 1994. During his rise in 1989 (including his French Open title) he was coached by José Higueras.

He also introduced the jumping two-handed backhand. 2 in September 1996.
