For an actor, you're rejected eight or ten times a day. All you've got to sell is yourself. You're not selling products, they're not turning down a car, they're turning you down. Most people can't handle that. Most people are essentially not set up that way.

Corbin lives on the ranch with his daughter Shannon Ross (born 1965) and grandchildren. The program was set in rural Tennessee during the 1950s and was created by Earl Hamner who had great success earlier with CBS's The Waltons. From 2003-2008 Corbin played Whitey Durham the basketball coach for the Tree Hill Ravens on The WB/CW teenage drama series One Tree Hill.
