I expected to get drafted. I knew that I wouldn't get drafted on that first day due to the fact that not a lot of people had the opportunity to see me play much.

Ferguson has also been a member of the Saskatchewan Roughriders Rhein Fire Winnipeg Blue Bombers Chicago Bears Buffalo Bills New York Jets and Denver Broncos in his career. Ferguson started seven games before losing his starting position to Hamza Abdullah.

He was originally signed by the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent in 1996. He played college football at Georgia Tech.
