At the Australian Open Wozniacki defeated Gisela Dulko and 21st seed Alona Bondarenko on her way to the round of 16 where Caroline Wozniacki lost to the eventual finalist and fourth-seeded Ana Ivanović. She reached the final but lost to Angelique Kerber her first loss at the tournament since the start in 2010.
