A month later Seles reached the semifinals of her first Grand Slam singles tournament at the French Open losing to world no. Comeback
Seles returned to the tour in August 1995 and won her first comeback tournament the Canadian Open beating Amanda Coetzer in the final 6–0 6–1. Then a couple of weeks later and still injured Monica Seles lost in straight sets to the same player in the first round of the 2003 French Open.
