An activist is one who is actively involved in creating community, whether that is locally in their neighborhood or internationally. It is an admirable quality.

In 1997 Jasmine Guy provided the voice of Sawyer in the Warner Bros. Filming on School Daze was completed just prior to her joining the cast of A Different World. Guy directed the world premiere of the musical I Dream in July 2010 on the Alliance Stage of the Woodruff Arts Centre in Atlanta.
