Was a member of the 2005 Cannes Film Festival jury. Hayek along with actor Joe Anderson sing together a cover of The Beatles song "Happiness Is A Warm Gun" on "Across the Universe" motion picture soundtrack.

She began her career in Mexico starring in the telenovela Teresa and went on to star in the film El Callejón de los Milagros (Miracle Alley) for which Salma Hayek was nominated for an Ariel Award.
